A Global Awakening

Divine Principle teaches that religion is at the center of culture, because it provides its moral and ethical values. At the center of the western cultural sphere is Christianity, and the center of Christianity is Jesus.

Christian culture is a brilliant one, but it is not perfect, and it does not demean Jesus to point out why: With an unmarried man as our cultural ideal, we have no standard for true womanhood.

Without a standard of true womanhood, we can’t defend, define or even experience the divine ideal for marriage and parenting. And with that a mystery, we have no basis to articulate sexual morality, gender identity, and spousal and generational oneness.

This is the root of modern society’s moral confusion and the pain, hurt, alienation, violence, crime, corruption and warfare that spring from it.

To resolve this, Christianity needs to get more radical than it ever has. Our spiritual leaders need to take the next step, and look again at the Bible’s vision of the Second Coming.

The Bible makes it very obvious. It says that the Lamb of God appears as a bridegroom, the Holy City appears as a bride, and they wed and dispense to all who thirst the water of life.

Now, how will this happen? God will act as He always has, through people on earth. In this case, for the first time, through a man and a woman together. A married couple.

Jesus called, and the Holy Spirit led, one man and one woman, Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han Moon, of Korea, to stand as that bridegroom and bride, to wed, and to bestow God’s Holy Marriage Blessing upon the world. This takes not just Christianity, but all religions to the next step, to create a new global culture. This is the global awakening.
